Adventure Level The level of character the adventure is designed for. Many mechanics regarding running and designing adventures rely on the AL.
Cert(s) Short for certificate. Pieces of paper, or similar objects, officially signed and dated, that let other game masters know where a player got something. You can download them here.
GM Game Master. The person that runs the game.
NPC Non-player character.
PC Player character.
Player Reward Coins Similar to certs, but with a set appearance. It has various in game purposes relating to character advancement. You can download them here.
Quest An ongoing string of games connected through plot. Not to be confused with quest slots.
Quest Slots A limitation placed on a character in terms of their potential activity. A character has three quest slots, which become occupied by various acts.
Region (Open or Shared) Any GM may run a game in this region, and all games should leave the state of the region as they found it, politically and physically, unless discussed with a campaign coordinator beforehand.
Region (Restricted or Partially Shared) Restricted regions and partially shared regions are much the same as open regions, except that all GMs must consult the region's controlling GM before running a game there.
Region (Closed) Only specified GMs may run games in a closed region. If you would like your own closed region in which to run games, consult a campaign coordinator.
Writeup To do a writeup means to post in the tales section of the campaign forums about your adventure. Who played, where did you go, what happened, etc. Style can vary from verbatim retelling to in character story telling, and more. If you choose to do a writeup, tell your GM and they should give you a player reward coin.|
