Custom Convention Items

Postby Scott on Sat Feb 20, 2010 8:48 pm

For the sake of simplicity, and ease of calculation, convention items are no longer tax exempt. All custom items received at conventions count as level 3. This currently includes:

Scabbard of Skulls
Token of the Saints
Th'kelo's Arm
Bands of the Golden Dawn (sorry Andre...)

Additionally, game masters that run games at a convention automatically receive the rewards of the game that they run. I realize that as the rewards are not known when people sign up to run games, it is not fair to refuse them the only chance to get the reward. If there is an item you want from a game you ran, let me know and I'll get a cert for you (Andre, you do not need to let me know).

Heh I can live with that. It went from lvl 8 to lvl 3. Another level 3 is just a small dent in the pocket, compared to the level 8 chunk.

On a thought, does this apply to set items achieved through conventions?
ie - the Banners, shroud and map that were given out at the con?
Or only exclusively created custom items?

Custom:
3. changed to suit better: altered in order to fit somebody's requirements better

A custom set, with custom set bonus was made for the convention.
This set bonus was applied to items in game, <customizing> them.

I can read just fine Tom, without you highlighting it. What I want is a very simple clarification from Scott.

Yes but the items themselves are not different at all and already have a set level

What Tom said, in less bold. Custom item =/= custom set. If the item exists already, it's not a custom item.
